The land that called us home! You know, how land holds you & then asks you to leave….

The Last Morning in Our Family Home

This morning, I woke to the sound of kookaburras.

And for the last time, I listened to them from this home that has held our family for the past 11 years.

Today, this house is no longer our home.

There is something incredibly emotional about saying that.

11 years of memories live within these walls.

We renewed our vows here. Our grandson was born here. The beautiful moments, the celebrations, the laughter, the ordinary days that somehow became precious with time.

There have been hard times too. Really dark times for us all. Lessons I didn’t know I needed to learn. Moments that stretched me, changed me, softened me and called me deeper into myself. I left this hone call hours to attend hundreds of births.

But when I look back, what I feel most is gratitude.

This home has held so much joy.

It has been a place of family, growth, healing, becoming and, in many ways, spiritual awakening. I have changed enormously during these 11 years. And perhaps that is what homes do for us. They hold us while we become the next version of ourselves.

I remember the very first time I walked into our new home. Rose Lane.

My body knew. I felt it in my womb! She actually moved.

Before the paperwork, before the contracts, before everything was certain, there was this deep knowing in me that simply said:

This is ours. This is our new home.

Months later, we signed the contract. My vision never waved even in times when we thought we would have to let it go.

And today, we are leaving this chapter behind and heading towards a beautiful piece of land that, in its own quiet way, has called us in.

A new landscape.

A new rhythm.

A new chapter. I’m so excited to see what my husband and I will create from here.

I don’t know exactly what this next season will bring, but I know I am ready for it.

And perhaps that is one of the greatest lessons I have learned: sometimes we don’t need to know exactly where the path is leading. Sometimes we simply need to listen when our body, our intuition and our soul say, this way.

So this morning, as I hear those kookaburras one last time, I am saying goodbye with a very full heart.

Thank you to this home for everything it has held.

Thank you for the memories.

Thank you for the lessons.

Thank you for the love.

And thank you to all of you for being here with me in this little corner of the world.

There is so much more of me coming into this space.

I am diving into trainings, continuing to mentor women, creating, learning, sharing and following the threads of wisdom that keep calling me forward.

And I will be back here to share so much more with you.

More wisdom.

More stories.

More rituals.

More of the things that make us pause, feel, question, remember and reconnect with the woman within.

For now, though, I am packing the last boxes, taking one final look around, listening to the kookaburras and stepping through the doorway into whatever comes next.

With a grateful heart.

And an open one.

Here’s to new land, new beginnings and the beautiful unknown.

I’ll see you on the other side. 🤍
