My Moon Water Ritual
On 30 July 2026, I sat under the luminous Aquarius Full Moon, a moon that invited us to release what no longer fits the woman we are becoming. Aquarius asks us to think beyond old identities, outdated roles, and limiting beliefs. It whispers,
“You don’t have to keep being who you were just because that’s who you’ve always been.”
It encourages authenticity, freedom, community, and stepping courageously into the next chapter of ourselves.
The week I have had after this has been extremely cleansing to say the least.
After collecting my moon water beneath her silver light, I began weaving it into my daily rituals. Moon water doesn’t have to be complicated, it simply becomes a sacred reminder to slow down and bring intention into ordinary moments.
Here are some of my favourite ways to use it
🌙Add a small amount to a facial mist with rose hydrosol, lavender or frankincense for a beautiful skincare ritual. As you mist your face, take a moment to honour the woman looking back at you.
🌙 Place a few drops into a ritual bath with magnesium salts, herbs, flowers or essential oils to wash away stagnant energy.
🌙 Use it to anoint candles before spell work or intention setting, blessing your ritual with clarity and purpose.
🌙 Mist your women’s circle space before everyone arrives, inviting peace, openness and heartfelt connection.
🌙Add a few drops to a diffuser water bowl or aromatherapy spray to gently shift the energy of your home.
🌙Water your favourite plant while speaking gratitude or an affirmation, remembering that as the plant grows, so do you.
🌙Bless your tarot or oracle cards before a reading.
🌙During labour, a birthing woman may enjoy a cool moon water mist on her face, shoulders or wrists, bringing a moment of calm, softness and connection between contractions.( I am supporting a woman this September and I can’t wait to share it with her.)
🌙 For the postpartum mumma create a gentle room spray with moon water, lavender hydrosol and a few drops of calming essential oils such as lavender or mandarin (used appropriately and safely). Mist the room before feeding, resting or simply taking a quiet breath, creating a little sanctuary around her.
🌙Keep a small bottle on your altar to represent intuition, feminine wisdom and the ever-changing cycles of life. (FAVE )
🌙Adding a splash to your bath and self-love regime. See picture below.. I can see the moon from my bath so I feel like I’m moon bathing, it is heaven.
Whether you believe moon water holds mystical properties or simply serves as a beautiful ritual, I love how it encourages us to pause and bring more intention into our lives.
Every time I use mine, I’m reminded that transformation doesn’t always happen in grand gestures. Sometimes it happens in the quiet moments—in the mist on your skin, the candle you light, the blessing you whisper over a labouring mother, or the simple act of choosing to release who you’ve been and welcome who you’re becoming.
That, to me, is the real magic.
I’d love to know if you have done this before and how you incorporated your moon water into your everyday magic.
