Closing of the Bones Training

It is believed that a Woman will journey out to the stars to collect her baby & bring them earthside. Traditional Mexican midwives use medicinal postpartum herbs, rebozos, ( handwoven cotton scarfs used for tying her body off,  hips, shoulders, legs, feet, and a makeshift Temazcal ( sweat lodge), to close off on the Birth journey & assist in her healing.

This ceremony is powerful & deeply healing. Closing of the Bones can be offered after any rite of passage for a Woman. To close off a season to then welcome & honour a new season, after divorce, miscarriage, completing breastfeeding, termination of pregnancy or early pregnancy loss.

A Woman experiences an extreme opening of her body, mind & spirit in holding a baby & birthing her baby therefore closing of the bones invites her return. 

During the closing of the Bones training ceremony you will witness & learn how to offer a herbal steam bath that mimics the temazcal, a time frame of stillness after to allow that to integrate so the herbs then work medicinally & tightening & closing of the body through the Rebozos.

Exchange: $495 per person.

You will be able to join a community of like-minded Doulas to continue practising together.

This can be added to your existing Doula offerings within your Business.

This is full-day training for doulas or postpartum doulas not a workshop or awareness of the ceremony.
